Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated August 2026
SMS Verify exists to help people verify accounts without exposing their personal phone number. Using it to harm others or break the law is not allowed. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
You may
Use temporary numbers to receive verification codes for accounts you are entitled to create, where a service permits SMS verification and you are complying with that service's own terms.
You may not
- Break any applicable law or regulation.
- Commit fraud, phishing, or identity theft.
- Send spam or facilitate unsolicited bulk messaging.
- Harass, threaten, or endanger anyone.
- Mass-register or automate accounts in violation of a third party's terms, or evade bans, rate limits, or suspensions.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Resell, sublicense, or abuse the Service in a way that harms other users.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action — including refusing service, removing access, suspending or terminating accounts, and cooperating with law enforcement. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent bans without refund of remaining balance where permitted by law.
